The USS Gerald R. Ford is the first ship of its class of aircraft carriers. It features an Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) to support a wide range of aircraft from its deck, including MQ-25 Stingray unmanned carrier-based aerial refueling aircraft, MH-60R Seahawk helicopters and E-2C Hawkeye Early Warning Aircraft.
The carrier deck is first-person level viewing capable, to support training for carrier deck simulated interactions with aircraft such as the MQ-25. This enables carrier deck crew to marshal the MQ-25 to a launch point walking on a virtual USS Gerald R. Ford deck with a high degree of suspended disbelief.
The model is available for download to MVRsimulation's customers on active software maintenance. MVRsimulation's models are encrypted and require a hardware dongle to view.
