Terrain Generation System Specifications
The MVRsimulation Terrain Database Generation System is a high-end system which acts as a catalyst for creating and editing terrain for use with MVRsimulation Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) image generator (IG) systems. The system is designed to hold the large amounts of source data typically required for complex virtual worlds and is optimized for writing data to disk and for storing your terrain data on a MVRsimulation Terrain Network Attached Storage (NAS) device or on a MVRsimulation Terrain Server system which provides access to a large number of simultaneously connected IG systems.
The Terrain Database Generation system is designed to provide optimized high speed data throughput with large amounts of RAM and SSD/NVME drive space, optional multiple GPUs for image processing and high bandwidth data throughput over a 10 Gbit backbone network switch for connectivity to the Terrain Server or NAS.
This system is delivered with MVRsimulation Terrain Tools for Esri®ArcGIS®, which can be operated with a general understanding of geospatial data concepts, regardless of experience with ArcGIS software. The tools enable users to create high-fidelity simulation and training environments without being a terrain expert. Esri ArcGIS, which is also delivered with this system, is required for running MVRsimulation Terrain Tools.
