Terrain NAS System Specifications
The MVRsimulation Terrain Network Attached Storage (NAS) device is a system which stores approximately 80+ TB terrain database tiles for use with MVRsimulation Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) software on a limited number of MVRsimulation Desktop System image generator (IG) systems (PN: VRSGDESKTOP). The system is designed to provide optimized high bandwidth data throughput over either a 1-Gbit (up to five attached IGs) or 10-Gbit back bone network switch which then connects to any existing 1-Gbit network. The Terrain Network Attached Storage (NAS) device specification provided below can service up to five/ten VRSG IGs and can be modified to support additional IG systems. The Terrain Network Attached Storage (NAS) device is delivered populated with all of MVRsimulation's round-earth VRSG terrain (MDS); that is, all of CONUS++ and terrain of the world.
